One month to go....

Hey guys,

So I'm finally doing it. I'm packing in my life here in London and exchanging it for a new one. It's been a little weird adjusting to the fact that my life is about to seriously change when I move to Melbourne in a month's time. So far I have been interviewing people for my room, handed in my notice at work, and started packing up items to take to my parents' house. So I am on track. I am going to stay at my parents from end of January until I leave. My partner Iain has got the job of finding us somewhere to live over there; he's looking mainly in St Kilda. I have no idea what rents are like over there. I have to be really careful with my finances from now on as I have no idea when I will see my next pay check. I have finished my YogaTeacherTraining finally - it seemed to be taking for ever! But now I'm qualified, I am going to try and do some teaching in Melbourne - as well as hopefully doing some PR work (would be nice to do a bit of both). My friend Kathleen is starting her own fashion label over there - and as I will most probably have loads of time on my hands to begin with, I can give her a helping hand. It must be hard work starting a business all on your own. But I'm sure the benefits are worth it in the long run, as long as you stay positive, and don't let any set backs get you down. I'm sure Kathleen will do fine, she has a lot of experience and designed all the bags for the brand Yumi that we both worked for. I'm excited about going to Melbourne but I am going to miss my life in London. Now that I am coming towards the end of my stay here, I realise how good my life is, and how I am doing everything I want to be doing right now. I think once I'm there though everything will gradually fall into place, I just have to make the most of it.

So many questions are rushing through my mind such as how will I cope away from my family and friends?? Who is going to meet me at the airport when I arrive on 10th February? What are the hottest fashion labels in Australia at the moment? All this will be revealed to me so very soon, I just hope I'll be having a fab time in the process of finding out.

I still don't know that much about Melbourne, so it will be an adventure learning how to live there; I want to be as honest as possible about how I find it, and I think your mid-twenties is the best time for discovering a new city. I will keep you updated as I go along.

30 DAYS AND COUNTING

Can't wait to join in the sunshine.
